Bunnies are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention and affection. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you choose the decision in rearing bunnies they are some things that you need to find out.
– There are different sizes of rabbits. They are small bunnies that may be kept in small houses and are not great for meat production. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the rabbits that are raised for meat production and reproduction.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you need to know that they are vegetarians, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa can be given to them as well.
– You must decide if you would like to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you need to keep outdoor bunnies then you must be sure to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protective fence. Bunnie houses should be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood hutches because rabbits may eat on the wood.
