But if you know very well what you are doing then you will be a cheerful owner. If you are new to keeping rabbits then its recommended that you learn all you can in raising these creatures. Once you learn about rearing rabbits then you will be prepared for what is in front of you.

Rabbits are high maintenance creatures which require a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you may think aren’t harmful, in reality they may hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you make the decision in rearing bunnies they are some things that you need to learn.

– There are different sizes of rabbits. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small shelters and are not great for meat production. Then they are the bigger ones that require a lot of space to reside. These are the rabbits that are raised for the production of meat and reproduction.

– When it comes to feeding rabbits you have to know that they are vegetarians, so you can’t feed them meat. You should feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You can also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.

– You must decide if you would like to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you need to keep outdoor bunnies then you must be sure you to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a safety fence. Bunnie houses should be made from steel cages or wood cages because rabbits can eat on the wood.

Rearing rabbits is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just manage them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
