Rabbits are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you may think are not harmful, in reality they can hurt you if you handle them in a manner they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you make the decision in rearing rabbits they are some things that you need to know.
– There are various sizes of bunnies. They are small rabbits that may be kept in small shelters and are not great for producing meat. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to reside. These are the rabbits that are kept for the production of meat and breeding.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to understand that they are vegans, so you can’t feed them meat. You should feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You can also feed them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.
– You must decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you want to keep outdoor rabbits then you must be sure you to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protective fence. Bunnie houses should be made from metal cages or wood cages because rabbits can eat on the wood.
Raising rabbits is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just look after them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
