But if you know very well what you are doing then you will be a happy owner. If you are new to raising bunnies then its highly recommended that you discover all you can in rearing these creatures. Once you learn about rearing bunnies then you will be prepared for what is ahead of you.
Rabbits are high maintenance animals which require a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you could think are not harmful, in reality they can hurt you if you handle them in a manner they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you make the decision in raising bunnies they are some things that you may want to find out.
– There are different sizes of bunnies. They are small rabbits that may be kept in small houses and are not best for producing meat. Then they are the bigger ones that require a lot of space to reside. These are the bunnies that are raised for the production of meat and mating.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you have to know that they are vegetarians, so you can not feed them meat. You should feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You can also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.
– You should decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you want to keep outdoor bunnies then you must be sure you to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a protective fence. Bunnie houses must be made from steel cages or wood cages because bunnies can eat on the wood.
Rearing bunnies is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just manage them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
