Bunnies are high maintenance creatures which require a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you may think aren’t harmful, in actual fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a manner they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you choose the decision in rearing bunnies they are some things that you may want to know.
– There are various sizes of rabbits. They are small rabbits that may be kept in small shelters and are not great for producing meat. Then they will be the bigger ones that require a lot of space to live in. These are the rabbits that are raised for the production of meat and mating.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to know that they are non-meat eaters, so you can’t feed them meat. You should feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You can also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa can be given to them as well.
– You must decide if you want to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to raise outdoor rabbits then you should be sure you to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a safety fence. Bunnie houses should be made from metal cages or wood hutches because rabbits may eat on the wood.
Raising bunnies is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just care for them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
