But if you really know what you are doing then you will be a happy owner. If you are new to raising bunnies then its recommended that you discover all you can in raising these creatures. Once you learn about rearing rabbits then you will be prepared for what is in front of you.
Rabbits are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you may think aren’t harmful, in actual fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you choose the decision in rearing bunnies they are some things that you need to learn.
– There are different sizes of rabbits. They are little rabbits that may be kept in small shelters and are not great for producing meat. Then they are the bigger ones that require a lot of space to live in. These are the rabbits that are kept for meat production and mating.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to know that they are non-meat eaters, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You can also give them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa can be provided to them as well.
– You should decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you want to raise outdoor rabbits then you should ensure you offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a safety fence. Bunnie houses must be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood cases because rabbits can eat on the wood.
Raising rabbits is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just care for them by giving them good housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
