Bunnies are high maintenance creatures which need a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you might think aren’t harmful, in reality they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you make the decision in rearing bunnies they are some things that you may want to learn.
– There are different sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small houses and are not good for meat production. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the bunnies that are kept for meat production and breeding.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to know that they are vegetarians, so you can’t feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You can also give them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa may be given to them as well.
– You should decide if you want to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to keep outdoor bunnies then you should be sure you to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protecting fence. Rabbit houses must be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood hutches because bunnies may eat on the wood.
Rearing rabbits is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just care for them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little cuddling.
