Bunnies are high maintenance creatures which require a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you could think are not harmful, in fact they may hurt you if you handle them in a manner they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you choose the decision in rearing rabbits they are some things that you may want to know.
– There are various sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that can be kept in small houses and are not great for producing meat. Then they are the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the rabbits that are kept for meat production and reproduction.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you have to know that they are non-meat eaters, so you can not feed them meat. You should feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You can also feed them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa can be provided to them as well.
– You should decide if you would like to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to keep outdoor bunnies then you must be sure to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a protective fence. Bunnie houses must be made from metal cages or wood cases because rabbits may eat on the wood.
Rearing bunnies is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just manage them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
