Rabbits are high maintenance creatures which require a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you may think are not harmful, in fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a manner they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you make the decision in raising bunnies they are some things that you need to learn.
– There are different sizes of rabbits. They are small bunnies that can be kept in small shelters and are not great for meat production. Then they are the bigger ones that require a lot of space to reside. These are the bunnies that are kept for the production of meat and reproduction.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to know that they are non-meat eaters, so you can’t feed them meat. You should feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.
– You should decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to raise outdoor bunnies then you should be sure to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a safety fence. Bunnie houses should be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood cages because bunnies may eat on the wood.
Rearing bunnies is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just manage them by giving them good housing, feeding them right and also some little cuddling.
