But if you really know what you are doing then you will be a cheerful owner. If you are new to raising rabbits then its recommended that you learn all you can in rearing these creatures. Once you learn about rearing rabbits then you will be prepared for what is ahead of you.
Bunnies are high maintenance creatures which need a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you may think aren’t harmful, in actual fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you make the decision in rearing bunnies they are some things that you may want to find out.
– There are various sizes of bunnies. They are small bunnies that can be kept in small shelters and are not good for producing meat. Then they are the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the bunnies that are raised for the production of meat and breeding.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you need to understand that they are vegans, so you can’t feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You can also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa can be provided to them as well.
– You must decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to raise outdoor rabbits then you must ensure you offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a safety fence. Bunnie houses should be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood hutches because bunnies can eat on the wood.
Raising rabbits is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just care for them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little cuddling.
