But if you really know what you are doing then you will be a happy owner. If you are new to keeping rabbits then its recommended that you discover all you can in raising these creatures. Once you learn about rearing rabbits then you will be prepared for what is ahead of you.
Rabbits are high maintenance creatures which require a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you may think are not harmful, in reality they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you make the decision in rearing bunnies they are some things that you need to find out.
– There are various sizes of bunnies. They are little rabbits that may be kept in small houses and are not great for producing meat. Then they are the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the rabbits that are kept for meat production and mating.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you have to know that they are vegans, so you can’t feed them meat. You should feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa can be given to them as well.
– You should decide if you want to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you need to keep outdoor bunnies then you should be sure to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a safety fence. Bunnie houses should be made from steel cages or wood cases because bunnies can eat on the wood.
Raising rabbits is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just look after them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little cuddling.
