Bunnies are high maintenance animals which require a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you might think are not harmful, in actual fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you choose the decision in raising rabbits they are some things that you may want to know.
– There are different sizes of rabbits. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small houses and are not best for meat production. Then they are the bigger ones that require a lot of space to live in. These are the bunnies that are kept for meat production and reproduction.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you have to know that they are non-meat eaters, so you can’t feed them meat. You must feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa can be provided to them as well.
– You must decide if you want to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you need to raise outdoor rabbits then you should be sure to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protective fence. Rabbit houses must be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood hutches because rabbits can eat on the wood.
Rearing bunnies is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just care for them by giving them good housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
