Bunnies are high maintenance creatures which require a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you could think aren’t harmful, in fact they may hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you make the decision in rearing rabbits they are some things that you need to know.
– There are different sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that can be kept in small houses and are not great for producing meat. Then they are the bigger ones that require a lot of space to live in. These are the rabbits that are raised for the production of meat and breeding.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you need to know that they are vegans, so you can’t feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You can also feed them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.
– You must decide if you want to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you need to keep outdoor rabbits then you should be sure you to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a protecting fence. Bunnie houses must be made from metal cages or wood cases because rabbits can eat on the wood.
Raising rabbits is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just manage them by giving them good housing, feeding them right and also some little cuddling.
