But if you know very well what you are doing then you will be a happy owner. If you are new to keeping bunnies then its highly recommended that you learn all you can in rearing these creatures. Once you learn about raising bunnies then you will be prepared for what is in front of you.

Bunnies are high maintenance animals which require a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you might think are not harmful, in actual fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a manner they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you choose the decision in rearing bunnies they are some things that you may want to learn.

– There are various sizes of bunnies. They are little rabbits that may be kept in small houses and are not best for meat production. Then they will be the bigger ones that require a lot of space to live in. These are the bunnies that are raised for meat production and mating.

– When it comes to feeding bunnies you need to understand that they are non-meat eaters, so you can not feed them meat. You should feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You can also give them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa may be given to them as well.

– You should decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you need to keep outdoor bunnies then you should be sure to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protective fence. Bunnie houses should be made from metal cages or wood cases because bunnies can eat on the wood.

Raising rabbits is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just look after them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
