Bunnies are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you may think are not harmful, in actual fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you choose the decision in raising bunnies they are some things that you may want to find out.

– There are different sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small houses and are not great for producing meat. Then they are the bigger ones that require a lot of space to reside. These are the bunnies that are raised for meat production and reproduction.

– When it comes to feeding bunnies you need to understand that they are non-meat eaters, so you can’t feed them meat. You should feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You can also feed them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.

– You must decide if you would like to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you need to keep outdoor rabbits then you must be sure to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protective fence. Bunnie houses must be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood hutches because rabbits may eat on the wood.

Raising bunnies is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just manage them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little cuddling.
