Rabbits are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention plus affection. Their back legs are strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you choose the decision in raising bunnies they are some things that you need to find out.
– There are different sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small houses and are not best for meat production. Then they are the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the bunnies that are raised for meat production and breeding.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to know that they are vegetarians, so you can not feed them meat. You should feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa can be given to them as well.
– You must decide if you would like to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you need to keep outdoor rabbits then you should ensure you offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a safety fence. Bunnie houses should be made from metal cages or wood hutches because bunnies can eat on the wood.
Rearing bunnies is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just look after them by giving them good housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
