But if you know very well what you are doing then you will be a cheerful owner. If you are new to keeping rabbits then its highly recommended that you learn all you can in rearing these creatures. Once you learn about rearing bunnies then you will be prepared for what is ahead of you.

Bunnies are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you might think aren’t harmful, in actual fact they may hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you choose the decision in raising rabbits they are some things that you may want to learn.

– There are different sizes of rabbits. They are small bunnies that can be kept in small shelters and are not great for meat production. Then they are the bigger ones that need a lot of space to reside. These are the bunnies that are raised for the production of meat and mating.

– When it comes to feeding bunnies you need to understand that they are vegans, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You may also give them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa can be provided to them as well.

– You must decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you want to raise outdoor rabbits then you should be sure to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protective fence. Bunnie houses must be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood hutches because rabbits may eat on the wood.

Raising bunnies is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just manage them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
