Bunnies are high maintenance animals which require a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you could think aren’t harmful, in actual fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you choose the decision in raising rabbits they are some things that you need to find out.
– There are various sizes of rabbits. They are little bunnies that can be kept in small shelters and are not best for meat production. Then they are the bigger ones that require a lot of space to reside. These are the bunnies that are kept for meat production and reproduction.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you need to understand that they are vegans, so you can not feed them meat. You should feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You can also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa may be given to them as well.
– You should decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you want to raise outdoor rabbits then you should ensure you offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a safety fence. Bunnie houses should be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood hutches because rabbits can eat on the wood.
Raising bunnies is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just look after them by giving them good housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
