But if you know very well what you are doing then you will be a happy owner. If you are new to raising rabbits then its highly recommended that you learn all you can in raising these creatures. Once you learn about rearing rabbits then you will be prepared for what is in front of you.
Rabbits are high maintenance creatures which require a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you could think aren’t harmful, in fact they may hurt you if you handle them in a manner they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you make the decision in rearing bunnies they are some things that you need to know.
– There are various sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small houses and are not great for producing meat. Then they will be the bigger ones that require a lot of space to live in. These are the rabbits that are raised for the production of meat and mating.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to know that they are vegans, so you can’t feed them meat. You should feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.
– You must decide if you would like to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you need to raise outdoor rabbits then you should ensure you offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a safety fence. Bunnie houses should be made from metal cages or wood cases because rabbits can eat on the wood.
Rearing rabbits is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just look after them by giving them good housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
