Your pig pen should be large enough to accommodate your entire pigs and should be comfortable to your swine as well. To make it comfortable you can install hog wire plus concrete slabs. To absorb odours that the pigs produce you can put hay plus straws on the floor. You may also design parts in the pen where your pigs can feed, rest and relieve themselves. A nice roofing is required as well to protect your pigs from extreme weather like heat and rain.
After you have built a pig pen you then go ahead in getting the right swine breed for your task. This must be done carefully. Make sure that you buy your swine from a seller who has found out what are high quality pigs and what are mediocre breeds.
Once your swine are in their houses all you need to do is take good care of them. This can be done by providing them with food and clean water on daily bases. Remember to clean the pen every occasionally to ensure that bacteria doesn’t develop in the pen. A healthy hog will produce quality meat thus bringing you more revenue.
