Your pig pen should be large enough to accommodate all of your pigs and really should be comfortable to your swine as well. To make it comfortable you can install hog wire and concrete slabs. To absorb smells that the pigs produce you can put hay and straws on the floor. You can also design sections in the pen where your pigs can feed, rest and relieve themselves. A good roofing is necessary as well to protect your pigs from extreme weather like heat and rainwater.
After you have built a pig pen you then go ahead in getting the right pig breed for your task. This needs to be done carefully. Make sure that you purchase your pigs from a seller who has learned what are high quality pigs and what are mediocre breeds.
Once your swine are in their houses all you have to do is take good care of them. This can be done by providing them with food and clean water on daily bases. Keep in mind to clean the pen every every now and then to make sure that bacteria doesn’t grow in the pen. A proper pig will produce quality meat thus giving you more profits.
