Bunnies are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you could think are not harmful, in actual fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a manner they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you choose the decision in raising bunnies they are some things that you need to know.

– There are various sizes of bunnies. They are small bunnies that can be kept in small houses and are not best for meat production. Then they are the bigger ones that require a lot of space to reside. These are the bunnies that are kept for meat production and breeding.

– When it comes to feeding bunnies you have to know that they are vegetarians, so you can’t feed them meat. You should feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You may also give them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.

– You must decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you would like to keep outdoor rabbits then you should be sure you to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a safety fence. Bunnie houses must be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood hutches because bunnies may eat on the wood.

Raising rabbits is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just manage them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
