Bunnies are high maintenance animals which require a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you may think aren’t harmful, in actual fact they may hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you choose the decision in raising bunnies they are some things that you may want to learn.
– There are different sizes of rabbits. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small shelters and are not good for meat production. Then they are the bigger ones that need a lot of space to reside. These are the rabbits that are kept for the production of meat and mating.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to understand that they are vegetarians, so you can not feed them meat. You should feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You can also give them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.
– You must decide if you want to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you need to keep outdoor rabbits then you should ensure you offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protecting fence. Bunnie houses should be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood cases because bunnies can eat on the wood.
Raising bunnies is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just care for them by giving them good housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
