Bunnies are high maintenance creatures which require a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you might think are not harmful, in actual fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you choose the decision in raising rabbits they are some things that you may want to learn.
– There are various sizes of rabbits. They are little rabbits that can be kept in small houses and are not great for producing meat. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the bunnies that are kept for meat production and reproduction.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you need to understand that they are non-meat eaters, so you can’t feed them meat. You should feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You may also give them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa can be given to them as well.
– You should decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you need to keep outdoor bunnies then you should be sure you to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a protecting fence. Rabbit houses should be made from metal cages or wood cages because bunnies may eat on the wood.
Raising bunnies is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just look after them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
