But if you know very well what you are doing then you will be a happy owner. If you are new to keeping bunnies then its a good idea that you learn all you can in rearing these creatures. Once you learn about rearing rabbits then you will be prepared for what is ahead of you.

Rabbits are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you may think aren’t harmful, in reality they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you make the decision in raising rabbits they are some things that you need to learn.

– There are different sizes of rabbits. They are small rabbits that can be kept in small houses and are not good for meat production. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to reside. These are the bunnies that are raised for the production of meat and breeding.

– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to understand that they are vegetarians, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.

– You should decide if you would like to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you want to raise outdoor rabbits then you should ensure you offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a protecting fence. Bunnie houses must be made from steel cages or wood cages because rabbits can eat on the wood.

Raising bunnies is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just care for them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
