Bunnies are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you could think are not harmful, in reality they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you make the decision in rearing rabbits they are some things that you need to know.
– There are various sizes of bunnies. They are little rabbits that may be kept in small houses and are not great for meat production. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the rabbits that are raised for the production of meat and mating.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you have to know that they are vegans, so you can’t feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa may be given to them as well.
– You must decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to keep outdoor rabbits then you must be sure you to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a protecting fence. Rabbit houses should be made from metal cages or wood cages because bunnies can eat on the wood.
Rearing bunnies is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just manage them by giving them good housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
