Rabbits are high maintenance creatures which require a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you could think aren’t harmful, in actual fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a manner they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you make the decision in raising bunnies they are some things that you may want to know.

– There are various sizes of rabbits. They are little rabbits that can be kept in small shelters and are not good for meat production. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to reside. These are the bunnies that are kept for meat production and breeding.

– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to understand that they are vegans, so you can not feed them meat. You should feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.

– You should decide if you want to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you would like to keep outdoor bunnies then you must ensure you offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a safety fence. Rabbit houses should be made from metal cages or wood hutches because rabbits may eat on the wood.

Rearing rabbits is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just manage them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
