Bunnies are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you might think are not harmful, in actual fact they may hurt you if you handle them in a manner they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you choose the decision in raising rabbits they are some things that you need to learn.
– There are various sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that can be kept in small shelters and are not great for producing meat. Then they will be the bigger ones that require a lot of space to live in. These are the rabbits that are raised for meat production and breeding.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you have to know that they are non-meat eaters, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You can also give them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.
– You must decide if you would like to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you would like to keep outdoor bunnies then you should be sure you to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a protective fence. Bunnie houses should be made from steel cages or wood cages because bunnies may eat on the wood.
