Rabbits are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you could think aren’t harmful, in fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you choose the decision in rearing bunnies they are some things that you need to learn.
– There are different sizes of rabbits. They are small bunnies that may be kept in small shelters and are not good for meat production. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the bunnies that are kept for the production of meat and reproduction.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you need to understand that they are vegans, so you can’t feed them meat. You should feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You may also give them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.
– You must decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you want to keep outdoor rabbits then you must be sure you to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a protective fence. Rabbit houses must be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood hutches because rabbits can eat on the wood.
Raising bunnies is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just look after them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
