But if you really know what you are doing then you will be a happy owner. If you are new to keeping rabbits then its a good idea that you learn all you can in rearing these creatures. Once you learn about rearing rabbits then you will be prepared for what is in front of you.

Bunnies are high maintenance animals which require a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you could think aren’t harmful, in reality they may hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you make the decision in raising bunnies they are some things that you need to know.

– There are various sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small houses and are not best for producing meat. Then they are the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the bunnies that are raised for the production of meat and breeding.

– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to understand that they are non-meat eaters, so you can not feed them meat. You should feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You may also give them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa may be given to them as well.

– You must decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you want to raise outdoor rabbits then you should be sure you to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a safety fence. Rabbit houses should be made from metal cages or wood cages because rabbits may eat on the wood.

Raising rabbits is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just look after them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
