Rabbits are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you might think aren’t harmful, in reality they can hurt you if you handle them in a manner they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you make the decision in rearing bunnies they are some things that you may want to know.
– There are different sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small shelters and are not great for producing meat. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to reside. These are the rabbits that are raised for the production of meat and mating.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you have to know that they are vegans, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa may be provided to them as well.
– You should decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to raise outdoor rabbits then you must be sure to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a protective fence. Bunnie houses should be made from metal cages or wood cages because bunnies may eat on the wood.
Rearing bunnies is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just care for them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
