Bunnies are high maintenance creatures which need a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you may think aren’t harmful, in reality they may hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you choose the decision in raising bunnies they are some things that you need to find out.
– There are various sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small shelters and are not good for producing meat. Then they will be the bigger ones that require a lot of space to live in. These are the bunnies that are raised for meat production and breeding.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you need to know that they are non-meat eaters, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You may also give them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa can be given to them as well.
– You must decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to keep outdoor rabbits then you must be sure you to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a protective fence. Bunnie houses must be made from metal cages or wood cases because bunnies may eat on the wood.
Raising rabbits is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just look after them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
