Rabbits are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you could think are not harmful, in actual fact they may hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you make the decision in rearing bunnies they are some things that you may want to find out.
– There are different sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that can be kept in small houses and are not best for meat production. Then they will be the bigger ones that require a lot of space to reside. These are the rabbits that are raised for the production of meat and mating.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you need to know that they are non-meat eaters, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You can also give them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.
– You should decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to keep outdoor rabbits then you should be sure to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protecting fence. Rabbit houses should be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood hutches because bunnies may eat on the wood.
Raising bunnies is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just care for them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
