Bunnies are high maintenance animals which require a lot of attention and affection. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you choose the decision in raising rabbits they are some things that you need to know.
– There are various sizes of rabbits. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small houses and are not great for meat production. Then they are the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the rabbits that are raised for the production of meat and breeding.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to know that they are non-meat eaters, so you can’t feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa may be provided to them as well.
– You should decide if you want to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you want to raise outdoor rabbits then you must ensure you offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a protecting fence. Bunnie houses should be made from metal cages or wood hutches because rabbits can eat on the wood.
