Bunnies are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you may think aren’t harmful, in actual fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you make the decision in raising rabbits they are some things that you need to learn.

– There are different sizes of rabbits. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small shelters and are not great for meat production. Then they are the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the rabbits that are kept for the production of meat and reproduction.

– When it comes to feeding bunnies you have to know that they are non-meat eaters, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You may also give them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa can be given to them as well.

– You must decide if you want to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to raise outdoor rabbits then you should be sure you to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protective fence. Bunnie houses must be made from metal cages or wood cases because bunnies may eat on the wood.

Raising rabbits is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just care for them by giving them good housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
