But if you know very well what you are doing then you will be a happy owner. If you are new to raising rabbits then its recommended that you discover all you can in raising these creatures. Once you learn about rearing bunnies then you will be prepared for what is in front of you.

Bunnies are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you may think aren’t harmful, in fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a manner they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you make the decision in rearing rabbits they are some things that you may want to find out.

– There are different sizes of bunnies. They are small bunnies that may be kept in small houses and are not best for meat production. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the rabbits that are kept for the production of meat and breeding.

– When it comes to feeding bunnies you have to know that they are vegetarians, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa can be provided to them as well.

– You must decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you would like to raise outdoor bunnies then you should be sure to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a protective fence. Bunnie houses should be made from steel cages or wood hutches because rabbits may eat on the wood.

Rearing bunnies is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just care for them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little cuddling.
