Bunnies are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you may think aren’t harmful, in fact they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you make the decision in raising bunnies they are some things that you may want to find out.
– There are different sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small houses and are not best for meat production. Then they are the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the bunnies that are kept for meat production and mating.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you have to know that they are vegans, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You may also give them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa can be provided to them as well.
– You must decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you would like to raise outdoor bunnies then you must be sure you to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a safety fence. Bunnie houses should be made from metal cages or wood cages because rabbits can eat on the wood.
Raising rabbits is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just care for them by giving them good housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
