But if you really know what you are doing then you will be a happy owner. If you are new to keeping bunnies then its a good idea that you discover all you can in rearing these creatures. Once you learn about rearing rabbits then you will be prepared for what is ahead of you.

Rabbits are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you might think aren’t harmful, in reality they can hurt you if you handle them in a manner they don’t like. Their back legs are strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you choose the decision in raising rabbits they are some things that you need to learn.

– There are different sizes of rabbits. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small houses and are not good for producing meat. Then they will be the bigger ones that require a lot of space to live in. These are the bunnies that are raised for meat production and breeding.

– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to understand that they are non-meat eaters, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You can also feed them rabbit pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be given to them as well.

– You should decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to raise outdoor rabbits then you must ensure you offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protective fence. Bunnie houses should be made from steel cages or wood hutches because rabbits can eat on the wood.

Rearing rabbits is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just manage them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
