Rabbits are high maintenance creatures which need a lot of attention plus affection. Their back legs are strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you make the decision in raising rabbits they are some things that you may want to know.
– There are various sizes of bunnies. They are small rabbits that may be kept in small shelters and are not good for meat production. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to reside. These are the bunnies that are kept for the production of meat and reproduction.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you need to know that they are vegetarians, so you can’t feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa may be provided to them as well.
– You must decide if you would like to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you want to raise outdoor rabbits then you should be sure to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a protecting fence. Rabbit houses must be made from metal cages or wood hutches because rabbits can eat on the wood.
