Bunnies are high maintenance creatures which require a lot of attention plus affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you could think are not harmful, in fact they may hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you make the decision in rearing bunnies they are some things that you may want to know.
– There are different sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that may be kept in small houses and are not great for meat production. Then they are the bigger ones that require a lot of space to reside. These are the bunnies that are raised for meat production and mating.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to understand that they are non-meat eaters, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You may also give them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa can be given to them as well.
– You must decide if you would like to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you need to keep outdoor bunnies then you should be sure to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protecting fence. Bunnie houses must be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood cages because rabbits can eat on the wood.
Rearing rabbits is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just manage them by giving them good housing, feeding them right and also some bit of cuddling.
