Bunnies are high maintenance animals which need a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cute cuddy creatures that you could think are not harmful, in reality they can hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you choose the decision in rearing rabbits they are some things that you may want to find out.
– There are various sizes of rabbits. They are little bunnies that can be kept in small shelters and are not great for meat production. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the rabbits that are raised for the production of meat and mating.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you have to know that they are non-meat eaters, so you can not feed them meat. You should feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them germinate more powerful and healthy. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa can be provided to them as well.
– You must decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor bunnies. If you want to raise outdoor rabbits then you should be sure you to offer protection for them. You should build them shelter and a safety fence. Rabbit houses should be made from stainlesss steel cages or wood hutches because rabbits may eat on the wood.
Rearing bunnies is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just look after them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
