Bunnies are high maintenance creatures which require a lot of attention and affection. Although they are cuty creatures that you could think are not harmful, in actual fact they may hurt you if you handle them in a way they don’t like. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to kick you off. So before you make the decision in raising rabbits they are some things that you may want to learn.
– There are various sizes of rabbits. They are little bunnies that can be kept in small houses and are not best for producing meat. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the bunnies that are kept for the production of meat and mating.
– When it comes to feeding rabbits you need to know that they are non-meat eaters, so you can’t feed them meat. You should feed them chewy veggies like carrots and cabbages. You can also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay or alfalfa may be provided to them as well.
– You must decide if you want to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to keep outdoor rabbits then you should be sure to offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protecting fence. Rabbit houses should be made from steel cages or wood hutches because rabbits may eat on the wood.
Raising bunnies is not the simplest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just manage them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
