Bunnies are high maintenance animals which require a lot of attention and affection. Their back legs are very strong and they use them to beat you off. So before you choose the decision in raising bunnies they are some things that you need to know.
– There are various sizes of bunnies. They are little bunnies that can be kept in small houses and are not good for meat production. Then they will be the bigger ones that need a lot of space to live in. These are the bunnies that are raised for the production of meat and reproduction.
– When it comes to feeding bunnies you need to know that they are non-meat eaters, so you can not feed them meat. You must feed them chewy vegetables like carrots and cabbages. You may also feed them bunnie pellets since they have a lot of nutrients which will help them grow more powerful and healthier. A supplementary diet of hay and alfalfa can be given to them as well.
– You must decide if you wish to keep indoor or outdoor rabbits. If you would like to keep outdoor rabbits then you must ensure you offer protection for them. You must build them shelter and a protective fence. Rabbit houses must be made from steel cages or wood hutches because bunnies can eat on the wood.
Raising bunnies is not the easiest thing to do but at the same time its not that difficult. Just care for them by giving them proper housing, feeding them right and also some little bit of cuddling.
